Take Charge. Get Tested.™ Event
Results
Hundreds of Atlantans participated in the 2008 Take Charge. Get Tested.™ Event 's food, fun, and festivities.
Staff from Saint Joseph's Mercy Care Services and volunteers
were on hand to provide confidential HIV testing. (Click here to view an HIV screening process.)
Two hundred and sixty-four (264) participants received a free rapid HIV test and harm reduction counseling. We attribute the unprecedented number of young individuals
self-reported to have been tested for the first time to the live broadcast
of V-103 radio personality, Porsche Foxx and
WSB-TV Channel 2 media sponsorship.
