The Empowerment Resource Center will provide free HIV Counseling and Testing Services during the
Center for Black
Women's Wellness' Women's Health Expo on Saturday, November 15, 2008.
Through the support of its sponsors, ERC will provide free HIV counseling, testing,
and referral services and is expected to reach more than 500 African-American women!
ERC will provide these screenings at Twelve Hotel in Atlantic Station.
Please join us as we help to celebrate 20 years of dedicated service by the Center for Black Women's Wellness in
providing low cost healthcare, health education, and case management to
approximately 2,000 families per annum.
We recognize that early diagnosis continues to be paramount in better health outcomes. It is our goal to:
- Increase public knowledge about the HIV/AIDS epidemic,
- Establish routine HIV testing,
- Use resources to link those who are HIV positive to appropriate care,
- Help to reduce at-risk behaviors, and
- Lead in reducing the stigma associated with HIV.
